Cricut Artiste Coffin

Hello All!
I wanted to create something Spooky for Halloween and chose to use the Cricut Artiste Cartridge and cut the coffin out at 7 1/2 inches. After decorating the outside of it I wanted to do something fun on the inside of it so I decided to make a mini album out of chipboard. I traced the bottom of the coffin on scrap paper for a template and then trimed 1/4 inch off each side leaving room for the binder rings once its inside the box.  Again any questions let me know! Thanks

Misc Cards

Here are some random cards that I've made over the last few months that I am just getting to posting. Its a mixture of Halloween and Christmas.  This is the first time I have tried the stair step card, I think they came out ok but I struggled with creating the "scene". I also tried making some Halloween tags, Tim Holtz/ Grunge style. If you have any questions please let me know. Hope you like!

Easel Card with Post-It Notes

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all doing well. The fall season is fast approaching and that means more craft time!!! YaY! As much as I dread what follows I have to say that Fall is my favorite season with the beautiful colors on the trees and of course pumpkins! I havent been able to get much crafting done recently but hopefully with the cooler weather I will soon. I just wanted to share a card I made for a good friend of mine that lives out of state.

I've done many easel cards before, its probably my favorite kind of card, but this time I tried something new. I made a 3x3 post-it note tray on the inside and because of its thickness I left a half inch space between the top and bottom of the card. The card front is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. I trimmed a piece of cardstock to 5 1/2 x 11 1/2. With the cardstock horizontal I scored it at 3in, 5 1/2 and at 6 in. Then cut a separate piece of cardstock at 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 for the card front. Once you fold the 5 1/2 x 11 1/2 piece of cardstock on the score lines you then adhere the separate cardstock front to the bottom half of the top of the card. If you adhere it to the whole top it will not work when you want to have the card stand up.

Hope you Enjoy!!
Any questions let me know!!

Storage for Close to my Heart's My Acrylix Stamp sets

I have been rearranging my craft room and wanted to share some
pics of my stamping station. I found these great shelf units at Target, they are made by closetmaid and come in espresso, white and black. They have a ton of different color bins that are made to fit in each square.

Fundraising Collection Tin

Many of you know that I recently signed up for the Susan G Komen 3 Day event. It is a huge commitment and I cant wait for it. Not only do we walk 60 miles but we have to collect $2300 in donations to help cure breast cancer. So of course the fundraising is going to include lots of crafty things!

Here is the first: I wanted to decorate a donation collection tin  (I found  this adorable mailbox at target for a dollar!). I used pink ribbon scrapbook paper to cover the mailbox and then matted several sentiments for each side of the sides. I used a Martha Stewart border punch on the front. Then I  cut out a pink ribbon that I stamped in pink and embossed in clear glitter embossing powder and placed that on 3D foam dots and placed it in the center of the front. To add a more dimensional look I used prima flowers in various places.

The back I left somewhat plain because of where I am going to place it, people wont really see it. I just matted a 3 Day "Walker" icon and placed a flower in the corner.

Thanks for looking!

My First Double Dutch Fold Card

Hello Everyone! Since the weather outside is not very nice I have been working in my craft room. So I decided to try a new style card that I had seen on a website called a "double dutch fold". The concept is that there are 2 flaps that are attached at the bottom on the sides (one to each side), in addition to the normal card flap that is folded at the top of the card.

With my card, I added a scalloped circle die cut to the front on the large main flap and let it overlap the smaller flaps at the bottom. The main image is from "Kate's ABC's" cricut cartridge. I added some additional butterflies that I made with a paper punch and some pink gems. Then I tied some pink fiber around the very top flap.

All papers are from an older K&Co. mat stack. I matted all sections of the card and inked the edges with lime green chalk ink and Antique Linen Distress ink.

The double flaps.

And of course I had my little (actually he is a tank) helper, Mickey!

I really love how it turned out. I am not sure what occasion it is going to be for, so when I decide I will add a sentiment. Or maybe I will just keep it since I love it so much.
